Contract compliance monitoring
A contract reflects the law as it stood when the text was agreed. The obligations behind it keep moving. Juvo is developing a platform designed to help legal and compliance teams map their contract portfolio and focus attention on the clauses that may need review when obligations change.
Keeping contracts in view after signature.
A contract is usually reviewed with care before it is signed. That review captures a single moment: the law as it stood on the day of signature. Contract compliance monitoring is a way of working in which an organisation knows which contracts and standard terms in its portfolio rest on which legal sources, and reviews them when the relevant obligations change. This page describes how Juvo is designed to support that work for contracts specifically. The wider workflow for policies, terms and other documents is described on the compliance monitoring page.
Teams whose risk lives in contracts.
Legal departments
Teams responsible for a portfolio of customer contracts, procurement contracts and framework agreements, who need to know which clauses deserve review in light of changed law.
Compliance teams
Teams in regulated organisations such as banks, insurers and telecoms, where regulatory obligations flow into contract terms and standard conditions.
Law firms
Firms that support clients through contract portfolio reviews and want clause-level groundwork whose findings point to sources and can be verified.
A signature-time review does not cover the life of a contract.
A standard term reused across dozens of contracts carries a possible gap in dozens of places at once. Auto-renewing contracts pass through renewal cycles without a fresh review. References to provisions that have since been amended or repealed sit unchanged in the text. On a busy team, nobody re-reads the portfolio clause by clause after a relevant change in the law, so reviews cluster around moments when something has already happened: a dispute, an audit or a customer question. The point of contract compliance monitoring is to move that work forward, to the stage where the options are still inexpensive.
A workflow designed around your contract portfolio.
Juvo is a platform in development. Access is through the waitlist and individually agreed pilots, and the workflow below applies within the agreed pilot scope.
You map the contracts you want covered
During a pilot, you agree which contracts, standard terms and contract types fall within scope. You upload them to your workspace and they form the basis of the monitoring.
Clause-level review within the agreed scope
Contracts are reviewed clause by clause. Findings point to the specific part of the contract and, where supported, to the underlying legal source in Estonian or EU law. Severity levels come with the findings as guidance.
Tracking of selected legal changes
Juvo is designed to help track selected legal changes and flag contracts that may be affected. The set of watched legal acts and the review cadence are agreed during the pilot. The broader picture is described on the regulatory change monitoring page.
What is agreed during a pilot.
Contract compliance monitoring is not an off-the-shelf package but a workflow shaped around your portfolio. Pricing is sales-led and depends on scope; the approach is described on the pricing page.
Scope
Which contracts and standard terms fall under monitoring, and which Estonian and EU legal acts are watched.
Workflow and cadence
How clause-level findings reach your team, how often reviews take place and how severity levels are used in your process.
Data handling
Data processing and retention terms are agreed in the service agreement. A general description is available in the privacy policy.
Findings are an input, not a final judgment.
Juvo outputs are intended to support qualified legal and compliance work and do not replace a lawyer's professional judgment. Clause-level findings and their severity levels are guidance that calls for qualified legal review before anyone acts on it. Coverage spans Estonian and EU legal sources. Juvo does not provide legal services.
